Description

The Clinical Pilates – Big Equipment course represents the advanced level of the European Institute of Clinical Pilates educational pathway.

This programme develops high-level competencies in the use of major Pilates equipment — Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair and Barrel — as therapeutic tools within physiotherapy practice.

The course focuses on clinical reasoning, safe handling of equipment and progressive exercise prescription, allowing Physiotherapists to manage complex rehabilitation cases as well as advanced conditioning objectives.

 

Key learning outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Safely and effectively use major Pilates equipment

  • Select and adapt exercises for complex clinical presentations

  • Design progressive rehabilitation and conditioning programmes

  • Integrate Clinical Pilates equipment into evidence-based practice

  • Introduction and safe handling of Pilates equipment

  • Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair and Barrel applications

  • Exercise progression from early rehabilitation to full conditioning

  • Rehabilitation programmes for spinal and peripheral conditions

  • Clinical reasoning throughout exercise selection

  • Case studies and programme planning
