Amélia Costa

Amélia Costa is a physiotherapist, graduated from the Escola Superior de Saúde do Porto, with clinical experience focused on rehabilitation, exercise-based intervention and functional recovery.

She is currently enrolled in a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy in Women’s Health and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation at the same institution. Her postgraduate training includes Clinical Pilates, Manual Therapy, and Women’s Health, with specific education in pelvic floor dysfunction rehabilitation in women, men and paediatric populations.

Amélia holds certification in Clinical Pilates for Physiotherapists and is an accredited Clinical Pilates educator by the Instituto Português de Pilates Clínico. Her professional and teaching approach emphasises clinical reasoning, individualised exercise prescription and the integration of Pilates-based exercises within multimodal physiotherapy care.

She is currently engaged in private clinical practice, working in Famalicão at Clinter – Clínica de Fisioterapia e Motricidade and Clínica da Dra. Saritta Nápoles, and in Braga at Minius, where she applies exercise-based strategies across musculoskeletal and pelvic health contexts.
